A fast paced plot that leaves you wanting more!The story takes place in the future in a world run by a dictator/mob boss where frequent and public executions are the norm. The main characters are the boss's daughter Izabel and Darick the boss's enforcer. Izabel is set on getting revenge against her father even if it means her life. Darick appears to be ruthless and dutiful, but underneath his cold exterior is someone fighting for change. Excellent read for 13+.
I was given this book in exchange for a honest review from Readers Favorites. When you are the daughter of the Boss then your life is made. Never worrying about having to work or having to deal with the problems of the world but what happens if this is not how you want to live your life? Girl of Shadows is a must read. This is a fantastic read. I was kept on the edge of my seat. I loved the characters and i loved the world building.

Captivating! The author drew me into the dynamic conflict between the United Party and the two groups trying to bring down the Boss. A great read for fans of the mafia, futuristic settings, action packed scenes with a hint romance.
